2017 Subaru Impreza Reveal Slated for Tomorrow
Subaru of America recently announced that the 2017 Subaru Impreza would be unveiled at the 2016 New York International Auto Show on March 23rd. According to the news release announcing the redesign, the new Impreza will boast an all-new design that affords more interior room while being wrapped in a “sleek new body design.”
Subaru has a somewhat notorious track record of unveiling striking prototype designs — witness the 2015 Subaru Impreza WRX concept — that lose their design mojo by the time the production vehicles based on those designs hit the showroom. We’ve always been a fan of Subaru’s Impreza model — particularly the WRX variant — but Subaru’s styling track record has been somewhat lackluster. Let’s home Subaru finally serves up a production vehicle design that delivers on the promise of the concept vehicle.
In addition to the revamped exterior design, the new Impreza will be available in both 4-door sedan and 5-door hatchback body styles and hit the showroom standard with Subaru’s symmetrical AWD technology.
We’ll post new photos of the new vehicle as soon as they become available, which should be after Fuji Heavy Industries president  and CEO, Yasuyuki Yoshinaga, speaks at a Subaru press conference at 12:20pm ET on March 23rd.
